character animation in Lapsus

the main shapes used throughout the film are simple monochromatic contrasting squares on either side of the screen which split it in half around 0:32 sec mark. the screen is slightly leaning more towards white whilst the black side is slightly smaller letting us wonder whats on the other side. the character of Lapsus is made of circular and round shapes. the main body at the beginning of the film is a semi-oval with a white circle that has classes and a head covering. the shape of her character is to show she's a nun with a cross between her hands and her head being in her body making the top part seem like a veil. this gives off she a is cautious and skittish as when she is animated walking or talking her eyes are closes and murmuring to her self.

she is reminiscent of characters like Mr. bean in the animated series or classic cartoon characters when she breaks apart in the black side of the screen with each limb morphing and transforming and acting independently trying to get back together to her original model.
